Turbo Charge Your Sunday at COTA’s Cars & Coffee
Visit Circuit of the Americas for a celebration of automotive culture that brings together car enthusiasts, collectors, and families alike
If you’re revving with excitement for high-octane thrills and a jolt of java, then mark your calendar for Sunday, June 16 at Circuit of the Americas (COTA). This event, aptly named Cars & Coffee, is a dynamic celebration of automotive culture that brings together car enthusiasts, collectors, and families alike. With a diverse array of vehicles on display against the backdrop of one of the most renowned tracks in the world, Cars & Coffee is not just an event; it’s an immersive experience.
On select Sundays, the COTA parking lot transforms into a showcase of Texas’ finest automobiles, from classics to race cars, exotics to hot rods, muscle cars to off-roaders, and everything in between. Bobby Epstein, COTA Chairman describes Cars & Coffee as “a special setting for the car enthusiasts, collectors, and admirers to not only see some one-of-a-kind vehicles, but to speak with their owners and renovators and really connect over their shared passion.”
Community of Car Enthusiasts
But this event is not just about the cars; it’s about the people and the stories behind the vehicles, as well as the community it fosters.
“People can really spend time walking around and getting to know not only more about the cars, but the people passionate about them as well,” says Epstein. “It’s a conversational and fun environment, whether you’re a lifelong collector or a young racing fan.”
Since its establishment in 2020, Cars & Coffee has become a staple event at COTA, aligning with the company’s mission to provide a place for people to come together and make memories all year long, not just on race days.
“Celebrating car enthusiasts, gearheads, and motorsports fans at the world-famous COTA track is a natural fit,” adds Allie Stone, VP Marketing & Communications at COTA.
Throughout the year, attendees can look forward to various activities, including Formula 1 Grand Prix watch parties, on-track action, and even the chance to test their skills at COTA Karting. This blend of excitement and camaraderie makes the weekly event a must-visit destination for automotive enthusiasts of all ages. Admission is free for spectators, and dogs are welcome. Additionally, onsite kiddie karting ensures that even the youngest visitors get a taste of the action.
Anyone can register for the showcase
Cars & Coffee is not just a showcase for exclusive vehicles; it’s a platform for anyone passionate about cars to participate.
“Our showcase is fully composed of public entries,” mentions Stone. “Anyone who wants their vehicle to be part of the car show can register online or onsite for $12.”
In a city like Austin, known for its vibrant and eclectic community, Cars & Coffee fills a unique need by providing a recurring space for people to come together and share their passion for cars. COTA’s sprawling campus accommodates thousands of car show entrants at each event, ensuring a diverse and exciting showcase every time, including “classics, antiques, revamped favorites, imports, exotics, motorcycles, and probably a restored version of your favorite high school ride.”
Cars & Coffee is a vibrant celebration of shared passions, where enthusiasts gather to indulge in their love for automobiles and forge connections over an appreciation for horsepower. Head to the COTA for a Sunday filled with caffeine, camaraderie, and plenty of vroom, vroom.
