Austin Parks Foundation raised nearly $900,000 at its 12th annual Party for the Parks on Oct. 7 at Stubb’s BBQ, where hundreds of supporters gathered for live music, local food and fundraising for the city’s parks.

The foundation works to improve Austin’s parks, trails and green spaces through funding, volunteer efforts and community partnerships. Its annual Party for the Parks gives supporters a chance to contribute to that work while enjoying a night of music and entertainment.

Presented by Fifth Third Bank, this year’s event will help fund park improvements and community engagement initiatives across the city’s nearly 400 parks, trails and green spaces. Proceeds will support It’s My Park Day, the In the Park series, community project design services and the community-initiated ACL Music Festival Parks Grant Program.

Throughout the evening, attendees had several opportunities to give back. Games including Tipsy Toss and Gift Card Gamble added a playful element to the fundraising, while live and silent auctions invited guests to bid on distinctive Austin experiences. Together, those contributions helped bring the evening’s fundraising total to nearly $900,000 for the foundation’s work across Austin.
