Zoocade is the brainchild of Austin entrepreneur Reva Enzminger, who was inspired after seeing similar holographic experiences in Australia. After experiencing the magic of holograms firsthand, she knew that Austin was the perfect place to bring this innovative attraction to life in partnership with Axiom Holographics. In fact, the holographic technology behind the experience was named one of the prestigious Best Inventions of 2023 by TIME Magazine. Enzminger wanted to give families a chance to explore a digital world filled with lifelike, interactive animals.

“From the minute I stepped inside the holographic tunnel in Australia and heard the shrieks of joy, I knew Zoocade would be a hit in Austin,” said Enzminger. “Holographic technology and Zoocade is the future of family-friendly entertainment, and I’m thrilled to be the first to offer this in the United States.”

What to Expect at Zoocade

The main draw of Zoocade is its use of 3D holographic technology. Visitors are given glasses then step into a 60-foot holographic tunnel, to encounter a rotating display of wild animals in a constantly evolving environment. The technology allows for what feels like real, immersive interactions with the creatures. Currently, you can choose from Africa, Australia or Dinosaur encounters booked by specific time. Smaller, more intimate holographic rooms allow small groups to play games and have additional virtual interactions.

With more than 30 arcade games available, it’s also a place for some old-fashioned fun. Families can play a game of air hockey or the latest virtual reality games. Naturally, this venue is also booking birthday parties and private events, with plenty of space to host for special occasions.
