Moontower Just For Laughs Comedy Festival Returns to Austin with Star-Studded Lineup
Get ready for a laughter-filled fest featuring the nation's top comedians
Prepare to laugh until your sides ache as Moontower Just for Laughs Comedy Festival returns to downtown Austin now through April 21, bringing with it a star-studded lineup of comedians and a slew of club shows. The festival promises an eclectic mix of stand-up, sketch, and more, with original shows, cult favorites, rising stars, live podcast recordings, parties, and special events.
Headliners Galore
Leading the charge at this year’s festival are some of the biggest names in comedy such as Shane Gillis, Ronny Chieng, Tim Robinson and Andrew Schulz. Most of the headlining shows will hit the historic stages at the Paramount and State Theatres, featuring comedians like Kathy Griffin, Marc Maron, Margaret Cho, Mike Birbiglia, Ms. Pat, Rachel Bloom, Roy Wood Jr., and many more.
The Club Show Experience
For dedicated festival enthusiasts, the heart of Moontower lies in its club shows. From April 17-20, more than 100 comedians will take the stage across over 10 venues, for a four-day comedic extravaganza. Festival badge holders are granted entry to these intimate club settings and exclusive parties, where some shows revolve around specific themes or spotlight individual comics or small groups. Among this year’s offerings are Business Casual, Stamptown, The Joke of Painting with Avery Moore and Andrew Murphy, Comedy Confidential with Steve Furey, Going Up with Sara Schaefer, and OnSight with Sam Jay and Keith Johnson.

Beyond the Club Shows
Moontower badges grant access to special events, including the Moontower Comedy Festival Swingers Brunch & Golf Classic at Butler Pitch and Putt. This official “party within the party” promises a fun-filled day of golf, commentary by The Sklar Brothers, and delicious food and beverages. For those with an appetite for adventure, the Big Rib Rodeo with Shane Torres and Blair Socci offers a BBQ eating contest paired with mechanical bull riding.
