Austin Social Hour: Rooted Pop-Up Dinner with Foster ATX and Desert Door

In collaboration with Desert Door, Foster ATX presented Rooted, a 4-course pop-up dinner where attendees gathered around a communal table in spirit of the holiday season to celebrate traditions of Persian culture and Sotol — the desolate landscape of two very different deserts. Guests met at Desert Door Distillery on December 14 to taste a mouthwatering and locally sourced Persian dinner crafted by Chef Amir Hajimaleki of Roya, paired with Desert Door cocktails. The evening also featured a live cooking demonstration, clever pairings, live music, a bonfire, and plenty of holiday goods.
