Social Hour: DKR Fund 4th & Goal Gala Press

The Darrell K. Royal Research Fund for Alzheimer’s disease kicked off the first Texas Longhorns football game with the “4th and Goal Gala” on Sept. 2. The event raised more than $1.2 million to help find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Matthew McConaughey, Ben Crenshaw and Mike Myers presented the organization’s founder, Edith Royal, with a $500,000 endowment.
