Social Hour: SNOOTI Brought Guests Together for an Intimate Wine Tasting Experience at Poeta

SNOOTI, an Austin-based, woman-owned luxury wine-tasting company, hosted an intimate seated dinner and wine-tasting experience at the buzzy Italian restaurant Poeta on Thursday, March 28th. Led by SNOOTI’s Sommelier Michiko Matsuura and Poeta’s Chef Kevin Donovan, guests were delighted with a family-style menu and fine wine pairings.

Upon entering Poeta, inside the Francis Modern Inn, guests were greeted by SNOOTI Founder Ashley Skubon with a welcome glass of sparkling wine. The 4-course Chef’s Tasting Menu & Sommelier Guided Fine Wine Pairings from Boutique European Vineyards commenced with the first course.

The second course warmed up guests’ palettes with light and fresh options.

Between each course, SNOOTI’s Certified Sommelier, Michiko Matsuura, and Poeta’s Chef Kevin Donovan offered insight into the pairing of the wines and the dish to come. The third course consisted of heartier dishes and richer wine pairings.

The final course to the tasting menu included the perfect mix of savory and fresh with branzino and beef shoulder.

After dinner, guests made their way to the Francis Modern Inn’s courtyard area for a late-night happy hour with cocktails and gelato by Gelato Paradiso. An acoustic performance by Ivy Roots Music offered a soulful ambiance to end the night.
