On February 28, the Texas State History Museum Foundation honored Texas legends Charles Butt and Leonardo “Flaco” Jiménez with the History-Making Texan Award at the foundation’s Texas Independence Day Dinner. Held at the Bullock Texas State History Museum, the event recognized the state’s rich cultural heritage and generated support for the museum’s educational programs and special projects, which benefit more than 100,000 students each year.
