How Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort Is Carefully Crafted for Romance
Inside a flawlessly curated escape to Los Cabos, Mexico where every detail is designed for connection

At Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort — a Forbes Five-Star property consistently ranked among the world’s best luxury resorts — romance comes naturally, elevated by a staff that takes care of every detail.
Recently, we had the opportunity to escape Los Cabos for a couples’ getaway that is going down in memory as one of the “best trips of all time.” We actually never even left the resort. There was simply no need to go anywhere else. With a thoughtfully curated schedule of relaxing activities, everything was handled, making the entire experience feel effortless.

Arrival in Los Cabos
From the moment we arrived in Los Cabos, deadlines and routines dissolved, exchanged for a sense of calm. Our driver greeted us upon arrival at the airport, and from then on, we could shift into “vacation mode.” Along the drive to Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort, desert landscapes gave way to shimmering ocean views. Soon, we were standing in the open-air lobby with a welcome drink in hand, looking out over the beautiful Sea of Cortez.

Oceanfront dining with whales in view
Because we took an early direct flight from Austin, we arrived just in time for breakfast at Alebrije. Fresh tortillas were pressed before us on a traditional comal. We enjoyed sopes, pastries and vibrant fresh fruit. As if the experience needed anything more, whales surfaced in the distance as we dined, which made the moment feel even more magical.

Relaxation, spa rituals & plunge pool luxury
Our days moved along at a perfectly slow pace. We spent afternoons in a private cabana with its own plunge pool overlooking the ocean. At the spa, we experienced the Mezcal Four Hands Ritual, a deeply restorative treatment inspired by ancient traditions. Two therapists used mezcal as a medicinal elixir for relaxation and vitality.

Signature restaurants and bars
Lunch at Sea Grill felt like dining inside a postcard perched at the water’s edge. We shared ceviches, guacamole, and wood-fired dishes.
One evening during our stay, we had an unforgettable dinner at Arbol. Lantern-lit trees glowed above as our sunken table sat surrounded by water. In addition to the enchanting atmosphere, we enjoy the globally-inspired menu featuring Asian and Indian influences.
La Botica, a hidden speakeasy, transported us to another era with its Prohibition-style ambiance. A live band played as guests filled the dance floor.
Thoughtful details
Beyond the dining, the resort offered many unexpected romantic moments.
Our final evening became the highlight of the trip. A private table was waiting for us on the beach, illuminated by a pathway of candles. Dinner was served course by course while a movie screen was set up next to us, allowing us to view one of our chosen films under the stars — a beach cinema experience just for us.
When we returned to our suite, it had been beautifully transformed with candles glowing softly and rose petals scattered throughout. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch.

It wasn’t just the setting, or the food or even the impeccable service that made the trip so special. It was the feeling that all moments had been designed with detail — crafted not just with a sense of luxury to impress, but to connect us more deeply to each other.
It is easy to see why guests return year after year, making this property part of their annual traditions.
