Assistant Editor
TRIBEZA is looking for a part-time Assistant Editor to join our team. This position is suited for a hard working individual with experience in editorial writing and content creation with their pulse on Austin culture. This position will report to TRIBEZA’s Editor-in-Chief and assist with the day-to-day operations of both the print magazine and digital platforms.
Part Time, Austin-based, remote + in-office flexibility (Approx 10-15 hrs per week)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Brainstorm, pitch and write articles for the website and magazine
- Assist with TRIBEZA’s weekly newsletters
- Oversee Tribeza.com’s Event Calendar
- Copy edit, fact check, research, write captions, etc.
- Assist with editorial coverage of TRIBEZA’s signature events
- Collaborate print-to-digital conversions and overall content ideas that align with the brand
- Represent TRIBEZA at events and public functions, as needed
SKILLS NEEDED:
- 1-3 years of journalism, lifestyle news writing experience
- Excellent grammar and copy editing skills (AP style)
- Social Media marketing experience (copywriting, content creation, reels etc)
- Ability to work at a fast pace, juggling multiple responsibilities and deadlines
- Knowledge of Austin culture, local trends and latest events

Summer Interns
Editorial Intern
We are looking for a part-time, Austin-based individual interested in working with the TRIBEZA team by assisting with a variety of tasks to support the editorial team with the print publication as well as the website.
Varied duties include pitching editorial ideas, fact-checking, proofreading, sourcing photos, assisting with social media planning and keeping the online calendar of events up to date. Writing experience is a plus.
This is an unpaid internship; college/class credit is available. Unfortunately, this is not open to high school students.

Multi-Media Intern
We are seeking a part-time, Austin-based individual to join the TRIBEZA team in a Multimedia/Marketing role. This position involves supporting our editorial team with tasks related to both our print publication and website.
Responsibilities include sourcing and taking photos, assisting with weekly email newsletters, social media planning and updating the online event calendar. Experience with photography, social media and event planning is highly desirable. Writing experience is a plus.
This is an unpaid internship; college/class credit is available. Unfortunately, this is not open to high school students.
