Austin Shakespeare returns to Zilker Hillside Theatre with a free, outdoor production of “Julius Caesar,” running May 15–25, with performances at 8 p.m. Thursday through Sunday each week.
In a bold reimagining of Shakespeare’s classic political tragedy, the production casts most of the conspirators as women, offering a fresh perspective on themes of ambition, betrayal, and power. The play is part of Austin Shakespeare’s long-running tradition of Free Shakespeare in the Park, now celebrating its 40th year.
Audiences are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics for an evening of live theater under the stars at Zilker Park’s Hillside Theatre. Admission is free and open to the public.
