The Austin Symphony Orchestra will host a family-friendly Halloween concert featuring spooky classics and pirate-themed favorites.
Pre-concert activities, including musical crafts, games and the Instrument Petting Zoo, begin one hour before the show on the H-E-B Terrace and in the Long Center Lobby.
The program features Leroy Anderson’s “Pirate Dance,” Wagner’s Flying Dutchman Overture, Tchaikovsky’s “Battle Scene” from The Nutcracker, John Williams’ Jaws main title, Arturo Márquez’s Conga del Fuego Nuevo, Borodin’s Polovtzian Dances, Khachaturian’s “Sabre Dance” and Klaus Badelt’s Pirates of the Caribbean.
Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes for a contest with prizes.
