East Austin spot, Chalmers, is giving back this holiday season with a Thanksgiving Cook off and Food Drive on November 20! Join Chalmers for a Thanksgiving food event featuring a mouth-watering cooking competition, live music by Keith Sanders, and a canned food drive benefiting Hope Food Pantry, a partner agency with Central Texas Food Bank to help alleviate hunger in the Austin community. You’ll receive one free raffle ticket for every canned food item you donate for a chance to win some chalmers swag and gift cards. Bring your best Thanksgiving dish to compete in the cook-off, or simply come to enjoy all the Thanksgiving classic dishes!
Check in starts at 5 p.m. and the cook off will begin at 5:30 p.m. Participating tasters will then have time to taste each dish and turn in their ballot for their favorite dishes until 7 p.m. Winners will be announced by the judges at 8 p.m. Following the competition, live music by Keith Sanders will wrap up the night from 8:30-10p.m.
