Classical Music For the World (CMFW) proudly presents “The East in the West: Sounds, Minds and Dharma” Spring Festival with events April 18-May 4 featuring performances by Italian artists Francesco Mastromatteo, cello, Noemi Passiatore, classical guitar, University of Austin professor, Sandy Yamamoto, violin, as well as musicians from Austin Symphony Orchestra and the Butler School of Music at UT Austin.
“It’s been said that ‘music is the universal language,’ said CMFW Artistic Advisor Francesco Mastromatteo. “Music is indeed a bridge that transcends national borders, religions, and cultural differences. During our festival, attendees and performers will breathe in the same beautiful sounds while our minds connect in blissful harmony.”
This is the fifth festival produced by CMFW and was made possible through a unique collaboration and sponsorship from the Fo Guang Shan Xiang Yun Temple. Program details and more will be made available online www.classicalmusicfortheworld.org.
