Michelin Guide-recognized and beloved local eatery, Veracruz Fonda is partnering with the Christi Center for a Día de los Muertos fundraiser. On Nov. 2, 50% of Veracruz’s Pan de Muerto sales will go towards supporting the organization’s mission. Pan de muerto is a traditional Mexican sweet bread enjoyed during Día de los Muertos. Often flavored with orange zest and anise, its round shape symbolizes the cycle of life and death, while the decorative dough on top represents bones and a skull, honoring loved ones who have passed.
