The Cathedral celebrates its seventh anniversary with Arte y Vida, a Día de Muertos fiesta and fundraiser on Oct. 29 from 7–10 p.m. The Latina-owned, women-led East Austin art gallery will host an evening of mariachis, live entertainment, a community ofrenda and custom poems by Violet.
Tickets include fare from Sana Sana Taquería, an open bar, carajillos with Mercado Sin Nombre, pan de muerto and other traditional sweets. Limpias by La Femme Mistica will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
