Hot Luck Fest returns to Austin Memorial Day Weekend, May 23 – 26! Founded by Aaron Franklin, James Moody, and Mike Thelin, this unique festival offers a family get-together vibe with a lineup of top chefs, musicians, and fun food events during the day. This year, festival-goers can look forward to a brand-new supper club–inspired Friday night event, a new Sunday summer-camp brunch event and more. Chefs include Amanda Shulman, Ashley Christensen, Chris Bianco, Arlin Smith and Andrew Taylor, Mason Hereford, Sarah Grueneberg, Chuy Villarreal, Chava Orozco, Marc-Olivier Frappier and more.
Thursday, May 23: Giddy Up
For Thursday night’s exclusive festival kickoff, the Whole Enchilada pass holders are in for a treat as they attend the taco welcome party. The Taco Mafia Crew, featuring renowned chefs Edgar Rico and Sara Mardanbigi from Nixta Taqueria, along with Luis “Beto” Robledo of Cuantos Tacos, will be serving up mouthwatering tacos (among other things) at the Mohawk in downtown Austin. Dessert aficionado Sarah Lim of OMG Squee will also be delighting guests with her sweet creations.
