Hot Luck Fest returns to Austin Memorial Day Weekend, May 23 – 26! Founded by Aaron Franklin, James Moody, and Mike Thelin, this unique festival offers a family get-together vibe with a lineup of top chefs, musicians, and fun food events during the day. This year, festival-goers can look forward to a brand-new supper club–inspired Friday night event, a new Sunday summer-camp brunch event and more. Chefs include Amanda Shulman, Ashley Christensen, Chris Bianco, Arlin Smith and Andrew Taylor, Mason Hereford, Sarah Grueneberg, Chuy Villarreal, Chava Orozco, Marc-Olivier Frappier and more.
Saturday, May 25: Al Fuego
When the masters of flame and forge convene on a Texas ranch to ignite sparks into the sky, the result is Al Fuego: Hot Luck’s flagship event, a live-action tribute to a spectrum of flame-fueled and open-air cooking styles. Here, chefs are encouraged to keep it casual as they indulge in the finest meats, coldest beer, and an array of cooking contraptions. Al Fuego celebrates the cuisine rarely showcased at large gatherings—meticulously prepared, passionately executed dishes that chefs relish sharing with friends. Boots optional. Koozies required.
