Connelly Martin will host an opening reception for “Atmospheric,” a solo exhibition by Maine-based artist Melanie Essex, on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 5–7 p.m. Essex’s paintings draw on the changing weather and light she observes from her coastal studio, moving between recognizable landscapes and abstraction. The exhibition, her first solo show with the gallery, will be on view through Nov. 7.
