Join the Downtown Austin Alliance on to celebrate with Mohawk, one of the Red River Cultural District’s most iconic music venues, as they mark the installation of its new neon sign and updated venue facade to kick off Mohawk’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
Mohawk’s new sign was made possible through Downtown Austin Alliance’s Façade Improvement Grant Program, which provides an economic incentive for property and business owners along downtown corridors to enhance their building facades while preserving the historic character of the area. Round I of the program awarded nearly $65,000 to five businesses along Sixth and Red River Streets, helping leverage more than $140,000 in total property investment.
The celebration will begin at 4 p.m. and will include light bites and drinks. Representatives from the city, Downtown Austin Alliance, Red River Cultural District and other key downtown stakeholders will be in attendance.
