‘The Wiz’ at Bass Concert Hall

Texas Performing Arts will present the Tony Award-winning musical “The Wiz” as part of its Broadway in Austin series, with eight performances scheduled May 12–17 at Bass Concert Hall.

The high-energy revival reimagines “The Wizard of Oz” through a contemporary lens, featuring a score rooted in soul, gospel, rock and 1970s funk. Performances run Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m., and Sunday at 1 and 6:30 p.m.

Tickets start at $42 and go on sale Friday, Jan. 30. The production is part of the Texas Performing Arts 2025–26 Broadway in Austin season.
