The Austin Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier will host the fifth annual “You Grill, Girl!” event Thursday, April 24 at Franklin Barbecue. The popular fundraiser spotlights Austin’s women and non-binary chefs and grillmasters while raising money for scholarships and career opportunities in culinary, beverage and hospitality professions.
This year’s theme, “Dame Prom,” invites attendees to celebrate with tiaras and taffeta, channeling the excitement of prom night. The event features dishes grilled by chefs from eight Michelin-recognized Austin restaurants, alongside beverages from female-led wineries, breweries and distilleries. Jessica Sanders from DrinkWell will serve custom cocktails, and DJ Cassandra, the first woman to earn Best DJ honors at the Austin Music Awards, will provide music for the evening.
An exclusive silent auction offers unique packages such as tickets to Austin City Limits Festival, culinary experiences at Emmer & Rye and Hillside Farmacy, and tastings at Vista Brewing and Pedernales Cellars. Online bidding opens April 18 and continues through the event.
Since its inception, Les Dames d’Escoffier’s Austin Chapter has awarded more than $351,000 in scholarships, including $50,000 in 2024 alone.
