Marburger Farm: The Coolest Place in Round Top, Texas
Antique and vintage lovers from around the world gather in Round Top, Texas for Marburger Farm Antique Show

When you enter the gates of Marburger Farm, you’re greeted with a “welcome, y’all.” While it might sound like a well-rehearsed line, you’ll quickly find this antique show is as authentic as it is exciting, with smiling crew members, festival vibes and a frenzy of shoppers ready for the hunt.
Crowds begin to assemble early for the twice annual Marburger Farm Antique Show, aka “Marburger,” and they’re ready for a good time. Some shoppers come from across the country and as far as Japan and Sweden for a chance to find rare and unusual items for their homes, businesses, and wardrobes. Others are simply there for the daily music by top Texas artists, local food vendors, and stellar wardrobe inspiration. All converge on Marburger because they know they’ll find the most authentic merchandise, and people, from places like France, Spain, California, the east coast, and the local region.

Opening day features a tailgate where shoppers gather for mimosas, music, breakfast bites, and early shopping inside the show’s historic buildings. At 9 am, Brad Blacketer, the show’s Director of Operations for over 15 years, rings the triangle which opens the flood gates to five football field sized tents full of shopping and story swapping.
Visitors shop a curated selection of antique and vintage furniture, art, rugs, lighting, clothing, jewelry, and gifts, stopping only to grab a bite to eat or refuel at the bar, aptly named the Mar-Bar. It’s no wonder the show has attracted the world’s top interior designers, retail buyers, stylists, and celebrities for over 50 shows. Anyone who has attended one of the shows has a Marburger story, including heartwarming reunions, incredible historic discoveries (read: George Washington’s writing desk), and massive celebrity sightings like Gwen Stefani, Jenna Lyons, and Matthew McConaughey.
“There’s nothing like it,” says Blacketer. “The community, the quality of merchandise, and the pure sense of fun. We hire more staff than any other show because we want every shopper to have the best time they’ve ever had. Hospitality is a huge focus. If somebody locks their keys in their car, my team is getting them out.”
Of all the venues in Round Top, Texas, Marburger is the “if you know, you know” of shows. While other venues have adopted a more polished appearance, Marburger has stuck to its roots, keeping its historic buildings, tents, and green pastures along with its authenticity policy which allows its dealers to sell only top antiques and vintage merchandise along with a small percentage of artisan-made goods.
Marburger Farm carefully selects hundreds of dealers every show based on quality, authenticity, and originality. They include an eclectic mix of expert collectors and treasure hunters who travel the world to assemble an ever-changing selection of rare European and American antiques and vintage finds. With an eye for the extraordinary, they transform their booths into stunning shops and vignettes.
Marburger Farm’s commitment to authenticity extends beyond its curated selection of merchandise. The show takes place on a historic farm with 10 historic buildings, providing a charming backdrop for the five-day event. Its reputation has attracted a discerning clientele who come to Marburger Farm not only to shop, but also to find inspiration. Whether you’re a seasoned collector, a design enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique event, the Marburger Farm Antique Show offers an experience unlike any other. Mark your calendars for March 25 – 29, to bring home your own treasures and stories.
