Foxtrot Opens First Austin Location on Burnet Road

The rapidly-expanding all-day café, corner store and delivery concept will soon have four spots across the city

CURATED CONVENIENCE STORE and café brand Foxtrot opened its first Austin location on Burnet Road this month.

With 25 locations across D.C. Chicago, Dallas and now Austin, the concept brings top-notch neighborhood retail and innovative e-commerce technology together in each of their stores.

Shoppers can enjoy fresh smoothies, breakfast tacos, chef-prepared salads and bowls, coffee drinks and grab-and-go meals as a part of the all-day café experience. Additionally, the Foxtrot team connected with local makers to discover the best items to stock their shelves. Bola Pizza, Lick Honest Ice Creams, Teddy V. Pâtisserie and Chop Chop Ramen are just a few of the Austin-based brands included in the store.

All of the shop’s offerings are available in person, as well as for pick-up and on-demand delivery through the Foxtrot app. Foxtrot invites customers to become members and enjoy a number of benefits, including one free café drink every month, happy hour pricing for in-house beer and wine pours and much more.

“It is an amazing feeling to finally open a location in the city that helped bring Foxtrot to life,” says Mike LaVitola, founder and CEO of Foxtrot. “We’re thrilled to open our first location in Austin to showcase old friends and new partners in the Austin culinary community, and a great space to enjoy the neighborhood any time of day.”

Foxtrot on Burnet Road will serve Live Oak Hefeweizen, Pinthouse Electric Jellyfish, St. Elmo Brewing Carl Kolsch and Slater IPA on draft. Plus, the shop will be the first retail partner for Bakery Cloud Nine and Pink Sugar.

The new 2,500-square-foot space was designed by Foxtrot’s design team in partnership with architect Scott Magic of Magic Architecture and general contractor Franklin Alan. ION ART created the signage and mural painting, while Katie Lukes and Paintings of Studio Bookmark made the fridge header art.

To celebrate the occasion, Foxtrot will host a grand opening party from 4 to 7 p.m. this Thursday, Feb. 23, complete with bites from local vendors, live music and swag.
