TRIBEZA Interiors Tour Celebrates a Decade of Design Excellence in Austin
A look back at 10 years of showcasing Austin’s creative interiors
The TRIBEZA Interiors Tour, a longstanding celebration of Austin’s interior design community, marks its 10th anniversary on January 25–26. The event will feature ten homes designed by local professionals and offer attendees a comprehensive look at Austin’s evolving design landscape. This two-day, self-guided tour, presented by SWBC Mortgage – The Breed Team and Heritage Title of Austin, has become a fixture in the city’s design calendar.
Launched in 2014, the TRIBEZA Interiors Tour was created to highlight Austin’s growing interior design industry. Former TRIBEZA CEO and publisher George Elliman credits the idea to then-editor Lauren Smith Ford, explaining, “She wanted a big event to kick off the year and we recognized how much people loved interior design and getting inside of people’s houses and seeing how they lived.”
The first tour featured homes owned and designed by local interior designers and was a success despite frigid temperatures. “We were out setting up in 35-degree weather, but thankfully the sun came out, and it turned into a beautiful day,” Elliman recalls.
Growth over the years
Over the past decade, the tour grew from a one-day event to a two-day format in 2024, with two days for VIPs and one for general admission. This year, the tour offers two full days for all ticket holders and is anticipated to host about 2,000 attendees. “It’s gotten more popular every year,” Elliman says. “The homes are the content of the tour, and Austin has such a variety of talent and creativity.”
Reflecting on the event, Elliman shares, “I think my favorite memory is being stationed at a house, hearing people’s feedback, and getting to feel the love and passion for TRIBEZA.” For him, the tour also serves as a source of inspiration. “I always enjoy seeing all the different homes and trying to understand more about what inspired that creativity, and take ideas for my own projects.”
The tour has navigated interruptions, including a two-year pause during the pandemic. A virtual format was introduced in 2021, followed by a full cancellation in 2022. Its return has been met with growing interest and strong attendance.
The 10th Annual Interiors Tour
The 10th-anniversary edition will include ten homes, showcasing the work of Ashley Ferguson Interiors, BANDD/DESIGN, Clayton Korte, Lizzie Pincoffs, Sparrow Interiors, Lindsey Hanna Design, Cuppett Kilpatrick Architecture & Interior Design, Hatch Works and West Chelsea Contemporary. Homes will be open for viewing from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.

VIP guests will also enjoy exclusive perks, including a kickoff brunch hosted by The Tivity, cocktails from Salvation Spirits, and a designer panel moderated by TRIBEZA’s Editor-in-Chief Heidi Okla. The festivities culminate in a wrap party at West Chelsea Contemporary, where all ticket holders can view the gallery’s latest exhibition while enjoying local food, drinks and pop-ups.
Design detours and interactive experiences
This year’s event also features “Design Detours,” activations hosted by local businesses that complement the tour experience. Highlights include:
- CITY Boots: A giveaway of custom boots inspired by the design themes of the homes.
- Blue Print: Exclusive discounts, refreshments, and a curated collection of high-end furniture and decor.
- The Renner Project: Enjoy beer, bubbly, snacks and a curated selection of high-style 20th-century modern, vintage, and antique pieces.
- The Frances Modern Inn: Tours of the boutique hotel led by designer Kim Lewis and owner Vicki Faust, with cocktails provided at its restaurant, Poeta.
As the TRIBEZA Interiors Tour celebrates its first decade, it continues to reflect and elevate Austin’s design culture. With its expanded offerings, the 2025 event aims to further its role as a platform for creativity and collaboration.
