Prélude Launches Swanky Summer Social Programming in Austin with Live Jazz, Guest Chef Dinners, Mahjong Nights & More
Dubbed the Prélude Country Club, guests can expect special curated events from May-August

This summer, Prélude invites Austinites to enjoy an elegant yet relaxed experience that’s perfectly tailored for a season of social fun. Chef Matt Peters is transforming his popular West 10th Street date night destination into the Prélude Country Club, a series of events, exclusive experiences and limited-time memberships running through August.
The Prélude Country Club blends upscale ambiance with playful programming. The mansion’s shaded back lawn will host games like lawn chess and cornhole. Indoors, guests can enjoy table games or reserve the third-floor game room for private events. Austin Mahjong Social will also host classes and leagues.

Live entertainment includes Thursday night jazz on the lawn and weekend late-night lounges with guest DJs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The highlight of the season will be guest chef dinners hosted by Chef Matt Peters. These one-night collaborations with local culinary stars—including Evan LeRoy, Kevin Fink, and Fermin Nunez—will showcase curated tastings of canapés and small plates. Reservations are available through OpenTable, with priority access for members.
Memberships, priced at $200 for the season (May–August), offer exclusive benefits such as:
- A members-only cocktail menu
- All-night happy hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Early access to events and dinners
- Discounts at local partners Spa Sway and Other Racquet
- Concierge services for bookings and reservations
The Prélude Country Club launch kicks off with a Kentucky Derby Party on May 3 featuring derby-themed canapés, mint juleps, live music and televised races on the back lawn.
