Where to Celebrate National Tequila Day in Austin

National Tequila Day falls on Monday, July 24, 2023, and what better way to celebrate than by sipping on margaritas, palomas, or creative specialty cocktails on Austin’s swankiest rooftop patios, at neighborhood bars, or while dining at a favorite local restaurant? With happy hour offerings, curated dinner menus, tequila samples, and more one-day festivities, here are several places to kick up your Monday plans and celebrate National Tequila Day in Austin.

Edge Rooftop

Edge Rooftop at the JW Marriott will be celebrating with $5 off margaritas and Espolon Tequila all night as well as offering live music from 7-9 p.m., and free samples from Epsolon from 6-9 p.m. Guests can reserve a table for this special occasion.

The Roosevelt Room

The Roosevelt Room will be offering its award-winning margarita for $9, a specialty mezcal margarita for $10, and half-off all tequila pours. You can stop by the bar during their early-week hours: 3 p.m. – 12 a.m.

The Dirdie Birdie

Play a round of mini golf as you celebrate National Tequila Day at The Dirdie Birdie in The Domain with $5 margaritas all day.

Uncle Nicky’s

Beat the heat with Uncle Nicky’s Frozen Italian ‘Rita, which is available for $5 during happy hour from 2-5 p.m. While you’re there, you can also enjoy their complimentary aperitivo happy hour snacks such as marinated mozzarella, marinated chickpeas, Marcona almonds, fusilli pasta salad, cucumber & tapenade finger sandwiches and more.

Azul Rooftop Bar

Celebrate at the highest rooftop bar in Austin. Azul is partnering with Altos Plata Tequila and will be offering $10 margaritas starting at 3 p.m.

Corner Restaurant

Downtown Austin’s Corner Restaurant will be offering a canapé and tequila pairing menu all day, and guests will have the option to pick whichever complimentary canapé they like with a purchase of any specialty tequila. The pairing menu includes: Strawberry-Cucumber Aguachile to be paired with Tequila Plata, Jumbo Camarone with Sweet Corn Coulis to be paired with Tequila Anejo, Mini Flauta De Pollo with Mole Sauce to be paired with Tequila Reposada.

Keepers Coastal Kitchen

More Specials

You can pop by Oasthouse Kitchen + Bar for $4 house margaritas all night, or enjoy $2 off tequila and draft margaritas at the Armadillo Den. Hopdoddy will be offering an elevated version of the Doble Fina margarita using Lalo Tequila for $5 all day long. For one day only, District Kitchen + Cocktails is bringing back the believed Pepino cocktail for $6 which is made of 100% agave tequila, cucumber, jalapeño simple syrup, lime with a house made chili salt rim. Additionally, One Taco is offering half-priced margaritas at all locations.
