Super Bowl LIX, featuring the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, kicks off at 5:30 p.m. CT on Feb. 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Across Austin, restaurants and bars are marking the occasion by dishing out game-day specials, including ice-cold beer buckets, shareable bar bites and curated takeout spreads. Whether looking to join a lively watch party or plan a house party at home, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy both the football and the feast.

From cozy indoor spaces to an open spacious patio, Armadillo Den boasts a combination of indoor and outdoor TVs and a massive big screen by the stage to watch the game. Armadillo Den is kicking off Super Bowl Sunday with a collaboration with its on-site food truck, Strut & Dorothy. Score a bucket of beer or seltzer and receive a voucher for 20% off wing orders, including flavors like Cajun Truffle and Nashville Hot.

The perfect game-day spread starts with pizza, and with the Super Bowl falling on National Pizza Day this year, there’s even more reason to celebrate. Home Slice Pizza pre-orders for pick-up are available through Saturday, Feb. 8, with same-day orders on Sunday, Feb. 9, requiring a phone call or in-person visit.

Fresa’s is getting in the game-day spirit at its South First and 360/Westlake locations with Super Bowl watch parties featuring team-colored swag and multiple screens, including an outdoor TV wall at South First. The menu includes a special party platter with chicken flautas, jalapeño poppers and wings, plus favorites like Siete layer dip and wood-grilled wings. For those celebrating at home, to-go offerings include a Super Bowl Platter with queso, guacamole, cookie trays and a house margarita kit. Pre-orders begin Jan. 27, with pickup available Feb. 9 from noon to 5 p.m.

Aburi Oshi Sushi

A sushi feast is on the menu for this year’s big game. Aburi Oshi Sushi is offering a special game day platter with Oshi Sushi, rolls, and inari favorites for $118. Available from February 1–9, the platter includes salmon, tuna, ebi, spicy tuna, yellowtail, and more. Orders can be placed online for delivery or pickup.

Austin’s beloved deli, Walton’s Fancy & Staple, is gearing up for the big game with a to-go tailgate menu. Highlights include Shiner BBQ pork sliders, chicken salad croissant sliders, French onion dip, and festive sweets like football-themed sugar cookies. Cover 3 is a top destination for game day, offering scratch-made American bar fare, curated cocktails, and an extensive wine selection, with plenty of TVs to catch every play. Happy hour specials include $5 house margaritas and $7 appetizers from 3 to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. The locally owned restaurant group has locations in Austin, Round Rock and San Antonio.

Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin’s rooftop bar, Heydey Social Club, is throwing a Super Bowl watch party on February 9 from 6–11 p.m. Guests can enjoy a large projection screen, skyline views, and a festive taco station featuring whole roasted lechon from Executive Chef Iain Reddick. Admission is free (no reservation required), with the lechon station priced at $20 per person. Drink specials include $5 beers and margaritas, plus the full menu of cocktails, wine, and beer.
