On October 27 the Ubuntu Foundation celebrated 15 years of empowering communities in Kenya with a safari chic Tribe Party hosted at the Belmont in downtown Austin. Over 200 guests were treated to a sensational Swahili dinner curated by Daniel Brooks of Licha’s Cantina, live music from vocal powerhouse Tameca Jones, and live and silent auctions. Ubuntu Made Co-Founder Jeremiah Kuria flew over from Kenya to help announce the launch of the Afridrille, the world’s first espadrilles custom made in Africa.
