It’s Time for The Drop-In — Long Center’s Free Summer Concert Series

ACL Radio and the Long Center released a fantastic lineup for The Drop-In, a series of free community concerts taking place on Thursdays all summer long. The showcase launched in 2021 to uphold Austin’s tradition of easy access to exceptional live music, and it’s now. a tradition we look forward to each year. In fact, TRIBEZA is a proud sponsor of this year’s concert series.
With genres spanning psychedelic hip-hop to indie pop to good ol’ rock ‘n’ roll, there’s a performance for everyone, and note that kids and even pups are welcome to attend. A few of the 21 talented local acts taking the outdoor stage this year include Tameca Jones, Alesia Lani, Caroline Hale, Cactus Lee, Primo the Alien, Little Mazarn, Half Dream, and Zach Person. The Long Center’s summer series kicks off on May 17th. It runs every Thursday through August 15. Each Friday, the upcoming artist is announced, and RSVPs open to the public the following Monday.
Once your seat on the lawn is secured, show up Thursday with blankets, beverages and friends in tow. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Food trucks and pre-show surprises keep the good times going at the festive weekday outing.Set against the dazzling downtown skyline, the concerts also showcase the venue’s 3D-printed performance pavilion created by ICON.
