Mamma Mia!, The Outsiders, Six, The Sound of Music & More on the Broadway in Austin Lineup

Texas Performing Arts' 2025-2026 Season brings an exciting lineup of Tony Award®–winning musicals, five Austin premieres, and the return of audience favorites

University of Texas at Austin’s Bass Concert Hall was alive with music and celebration on March 3 when Texas Performing Arts announced the 2025-2026 season of Broadway in Austin shows. Audiences were cheering for “The Outsiders,” a groundbreaking musical based on the beloved novel by S.E. Hinton and the iconic film, which won the 2024 Tony Award® for Best Musical. Audiences were also thrilled to hear about the arrival of “The Great Gatsby,” a Tony Award®–winning musical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel set in the Roaring Twenties.

Other highlights include the return of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast,” the timeless classic “The Sound of Music,” and “The Wiz” will be back with a fresh production direct from Broadway.

Subscribers can also enjoy add-on shows to their package with options such as the hit musical phenomenon “Mamma Mia!,” featuring ABBA’s timeless songs. Additionally, the global pop sensation “Six” and the Tony and Grammy Award®-winning “Hadestown” return as 2025-2026 Season Options.

The 2025-2026 Broadway in Austin Season will feature 10 productions from September 2025 to July 2026 at Bass Concert Hall, including:

  • Disney’s Beauty and the Beast | December 2-14, 2025
  • Six | January 20-25, 2026
  • The Sound of Music | February 3-8, 2026
  • Hadestown | February 20-22, 2026
  • The Great Gatsby | March 10-15, 2026
  • Mamma Mia! | April 14-19, 2026
  • The Wiz | May 12-17, 2026
  • & Juliet | July 14-19, 2026
