Social Hour: A Chrome Christmas Celebration at ZACH Theatre
Philanthropist Nico Ramsey hosted hundreds of Austinites for a celebratory evening and fashionable fundraiser for this beloved local theatre
On November 29, local philanthropist Nico Ramsey invited hundreds of friends and Austin dignitaries to join him in support of a nonprofit organization near and dear to his heart — ZACH Theatre. Having been listed on the prestigious Forbes Under 30 Austin list earlier this year, Ramsey decided to host a sophisticated soirée in honor of his 29th birthday, which he called A Chrome Christmas, that could serve as both a celebration of the year’s success and as a fundraiser for this beloved local performing arts organization.
Attendees of A Chrome Christmas were encouraged to wear chrome, black or silver to this stylish party. Guests were treated to a catered delights from Flavor Co. Catering. As a very special part of the evening, all were invited to take their seats in the Topfer Theater for a private showing of ZACH’s holiday classic A Christmas Carol on the main stage. Following the spirited show, all enjoyed an after party with champagne, dessert and tunes from DJ Bboy Wicket.
Ramsey is raising money for ZACH Theatre this holiday season with over $3,000 in donations collected during this lively evening.
“Receiving the gift of community was the best part of this party.” Nico Ramsey, board trustee at ZACH Theatre, said. “It has been an honor to serve this city for the past 10 years. Moving to Austin at 19, and now celebrating year 29, I can’t wait to continue to work alongside my friends and colleagues to make our city everything it can be.”
