Inside TRIBEZA’s Silver Anniversary Party: Celebrating 25 Years of Austin Curated
The Austin culture magazine marked a quarter-century of storytelling with an dazzling celebration at The Loren, bringing together the legends who have shaped the city

For its silver anniversary and the release of its 25th Anniversary issue, TRIBEZA gathered the city’s icons, artists and cultural architects for a glittering toast to 25 years of the stories, voices and visionaries that have defined the city. With floral artistry by Jordan Flowers & Events, a stunning anniversary cake by Butter Days, custom magazine cover cookies by Kellie’s Baking Co. and memories captured by Smilebooth — all set against the sweeping views at the top of The Loren — the evening was, in every sense, a celebration worthy of 25 years.
Behind the pages
The evening welcomed the magazine’s former publisher and owner, George Elliman, as well as the contributors and collaborators who built the publication into what it is today, including former Editor-in-Chief Margaret Williams and former Art Director September Broadhead. Longtime TRIBEZA columnist Kristin Armstrong was also in attendance, alongside the current team stewarding the legacy forward, led by Editor-in-Chief Heidi Okla and Publisher Krissy LittleStar Hearn.
The pages come to life
The guest list read like a living archive of TRIBEZA’s most memorable pages. THEBROSFRESH, who starred on the cover of the March/April 2024 Entertainment issue, were present alongside Todd and Stephanie Coultress O’Neill of Estilo boutique. Adrian and Celeste Quesada and Graham Williams celebrated their family’s feature in the 25th Anniversary issue, while Evan Voyles — Austin legend, TRIBEZA curator and the force behind The Neon Jungle — lit the birthday candles, as fitting a moment as the evening could have hoped for. Notable restaurateur Justine Gilcrease, TRIBEZA curator DJ Cassandra and Pecos Jane Vintage owner Blair Baxter were also among the many luminaries who turned out to celebrate.
TRIBEZA’s reach across Austin’s cultural landscape was on full display. Notable figures from the Bullock Museum and the Blanton Museum of Art joined the city’s most influential media figures, a testament to how deeply TRIBEZA is woven into the fabric of Austin’s creative community.
The celebration continues

The festivities are set to continue throughout the month with a series of public events, including a guided art walk along Ann & Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail on March 26, followed by an ’80s glam celebration at Antone’s Nightclub on April 1 with pop icon Tiffany taking the stage. As the candles flickered out and the evening came to a close, the night served as a reminder of what has always set TRIBEZA apart: an unwavering love for a city built by and for artists, culture and dreams.
