Soho House Austin Unveils Luxury Bedrooms, New Membership Program
Soho Friends membership tier grants access to Soho House amenities and perks
Soho House Austin, a new location for the famous private members’ club, recently unveiled 46 luxury bedrooms that are now available for booking. Before you start planning your next high-end getaway—there’s a catch. The elegant rooms are only available to Soho House members or those that sign up for a new type of membership called Soho Friends.
While there are some Soho House locations around the world that offer bedrooms to the general public, Soho House Austin is not one of them. (Non-members can book a stay at Redchurch Townhouse, Soho House Istanbul and Soho House Mumbai.)

Sophisticated and inviting, the bedrooms of Soho House Austin blend Texan and Spanish influences with a mix of modern and vintage decor. In order to book one of the rooms, a guest must pay to become a Soho House member (which can cost thousands of dollars) or become a Soho Friend, a new, less expensive tier of membership.
Soho Friends memberships cost $130 annually.
Designed for those that want a taste of the high life, Soho Friends memberships provide access to Soho House bedrooms, Soho Studios (social spaces for creatives to gather), special events and discounts at Soho House restaurants and spas, and for the interiors collection, Soho Home.

Unlike Soho House members, Soho Friends do not have access to the Houses unless they are staying in a bedroom or joining a House member as their guest.
According to a representative for Soho House, you don’t need an invitation from a Soho House member to join Soho Friends, but it helps the process to identify a House member as your reference or proposer. Applications can be completed online. You can also apply for Friends membership while your House membership is being considered.
Soho House Austin, which opened in May, sits on Music Lane along South Congress.
