What’s New in Domain NORTHSIDE: Style Edition
5 new sustainable fashion shops to explore at the North Austin destination
By David Clough
Domain NORTHSIDE’s fashion footprint is expanding. The outdoor shopping and lifestyle plaza, known for its upscale retail stores, restaurants and hotels, recently welcomed a handful of new jewelry and apparel shops to its North Austin location. Each new store has found a way to blend environmental sustainability into their mission. Here’s why we’re excited about them:
Goodlife makes luxury men’s and women’s clothing that celebrates simplicity and understated style. Acclaimed for its high-quality t-shirts manufactured responsibly in the United States, the company also has a recycling program that transforms used clothing into insulation for housing. Originally from New York City, Goodlife’s Domain NORTHSIDE store marks the brand’s first Texas location. The store can be found next to Suitsupply, at 11701 Domain Blvd, Ste 130.
Luxury consignment shop The RealReal gives new life to pre-owned goods and apparel made by high-end fashion designers. Eco-conscious shoppers can appreciate the company’s mission to support the circular economy, while indulging in eye-catching clothing and accessories from brands like Chanel, Prada, Gucci, Hermès and Louis Vuitton. The RealReal operates both an online marketplace and a growing number of brick-and-mortar stores across the U.S. The RealReal Austin can be found at 11700 Domain Blvd, Ste. 120, just up the street from Nordstrom.
UpWest is a men’s and women’s clothing and home goods brand that strives to inspire comfort and tranquility. Its products are made with sustainably minded fabrics, including recycled polyester, organic cotton and recycled nylon. With a focus on mindfulness and community, UpWest uses paperless receipts in-store, recycled poly bags for online purchases, and pays the shipping cost for gently used clothes that you donate. UpWest Domain NORTHSIDE is located at 3211 Palm Way, Ste. 162.
One of the largest online retailers of certified diamonds and fine jewelry, Blue Nile offers both ethically sourced, conflict-free diamonds and lab-grown diamonds that don’t require any mining. The new shop in Domain NORTHSIDE marks the company’s first physical showroom in Texas. The fine jewelry and engagement ring showroom is located at 11700 Rock Rose Ave, Ste. 122, next to Sephora and Free People.
Faherty is a family-run apparel brand from New York. The company makes relaxed, beach-vibe clothing from high-quality, sustainable fibers like organic cotton, ethically sourced cashmere, recycled polyester, linen and hemp. The brand also uses non-toxic dyes and water-efficient processes in its apparel making. Faherty is located at 11700 Domain Blvd. Ste. 100.
