Consignment Shop The RealReal Opens at Domain NORTHSIDE
High-end goods from Gucci, Prada and Hermès await Austinites in Domain NORTHSIDE store
A treasure trove for fashionistas and eco-conscious shoppers on the hunt for high-end apparel has come to Austin. Luxury resale brand The RealReal, which strives to give a second life to pre-owned goods and apparel made by luxury fashion designers, recently opened a new location in the Domain NORTHSIDE.
The RealReal operates both an online marketplace and a growing number of brick-and-mortar stores across the U.S. The new 3,050 square-ft. Austin location boasts a variety of men’s and women’s luxury bags, shoes, sneakers, jewelry, watches, art and decor. According to The RealReal, every item in the store has been reviewed by an expert to ensure its authenticity.
“We’re thrilled to be opening in Austin – a vibrant community where we already have a strong shopper and consignor base,” says Lindsey Thomason, The RealReal Austin’s Head of Shop.

In addition to buying and selling luxury goods, Thomason says The RealReal Austin also provides services such as valuations, cleaning, repairs and bespoke alterations. “The neighborhood store will offer Austinites a one-stop-shop for scoring unique and coveted pieces, meeting with our experts, receiving free item valuations, dropping off consignment and getting repairs or alterations. Plus, you can expect to find all of the elements that make Austin buzz – art, music, the outdoors – come to life in the space.”
The RealReal claims that the selection of luxury goods in the new store has been specially curated for local shoppers.
“We see our Austin customers investing in perennial luxury handbags from brands like Hermès and Bottega Veneta, as well as ready-to-wear from Stella McCartney and Marni,” says Sasha Skoda, Women’s Category Director at The RealReal.
“With Austin being such a mecca for vintage, we’ll be featuring a wide assortment of vintage clothing and handbags in store, especially coveted pieces from the 90s and early 2000s – think vintage Fendi baguettes to colorful Valentino blouses,” says Skoda.
The RealReal Austin notes that new items are added to the store shelves daily. Shoes are one of the most popular items in the men’s department.

“Sneakers are some of the best-selling items in Austin, and we’re seeing our shoppers invest in pairs from luxury brands like Louis Vuitton as well streetwear favorites from Jordan and Yeezy,” says Mayank Hajela, Men’s Category Director at The RealReal.
The RealReal Austin is now open, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It’s located at 11700 Domain Blvd, Suite 120.
As of April 2021, the RealReal has 16 locations with 11 retail stores across the U.S.
