At 7:30 p.m. each Thursday in February, Cafe at The Loren will become an intimate listening room that provides guests with a unique opportunity to hear from rising Austin artists.

Local cellist and singer-songwriter Dan Radin, country singer-songwriter Katrina Cain and pop-soul vocalist Ruthie Craft are just a few of the many talented musicians who will perform in the series.

Each listening room session is free to the public. Please note that capacity is limited, so RSVPs are highly encouraged but do not guarantee a seat. Drinks and light bites from the cafe will be available to purchase, and complimentary valet service will be provided.

He’s also the guy who wrote both “Up Against the Wall (Redneck Mother)” and “Snake Farm.”

Avant-pop and electronic superstar Charli XCX has announced her 2025 U.S. headlining arena tour. Following the release of her critically acclaimed sixth album, “Brat”, which topped the UK Official Album Chart and defined the cultural zeitgeist this year, Charli is set to bring her innovative sound and bold style to fans across the country.

The tour includes a stop at the Moody Center on April 22, 2025, with tickets available through an artist presale starting Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. CT and general on-sale at 2 p.m. CT the same day. VIP packages are also available.

KMFA Classical 89.5’s Offbeat Concert Series presents “Evoke,” a genre-defying collaboration between the string quartet Invoke and acclaimed trumpeter Brandon Ridenour, on April 26, at the Draylen Mason Music Studio.

Blending classical finesse with folk, jazz, and contemporary influences, the performance will feature original works, reimagined classics, and the world premiere of a new piece by Ridenour, inspired by Invoke’s innovative sound. The program also includes “Evolve” by Karl Mitze, “Tel” by Nick Montopoli, and fresh takes on Vivaldi’s “Sento e Seno,” the Beatles’ “Blackbird,” and “Wild Man Blues” by Jelly Roll Morton and Louis Armstrong.

The 12th annual iHeartCountry Festival, presented by Capital One, will take place on May 3, 2025, at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. The event features performances by top Country artists including Brooks & Dunn, Thomas Rhett, Rascal Flatts, Sam Hunt and more. Hosted by Bobby Bones, the festival will be streamed on Hulu and broadcast nationwide on iHeartCountry stations. Capital One cardholders can access exclusive presale tickets and a special pre-event experience. The festival will also support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Carrie Rodriguez’s Laboratorio concert series debuts on the historic Paramount Theatre stage on May 17, 2025, with indie rock band Calexico. Known for blending music, storytelling, and visual arts to celebrate Latino culture, Laboratorio is an acclaimed Austin series curated by singer-songwriter and violinist Carrie Rodriguez. Calexico, the Tucson-based band renowned for their fusion of rock, Latin, and Southwest-inspired sounds, will join Rodriguez and the all-star Laboratorio band for this one-of-a-kind performance.

Tickets go on sale Friday, January 17, at 10 a.m. at austintheatre.org.
