Run, walk, or fly your way through the 5K and Kids Fun Run offered at the CASA Superhero Run dressed as your favorite Superhero! Set a new PR or walk with friends – attendees can support at their own pace. Throughout the event, runners and their cheerleaders can enjoy a festival complete with music, snacks, games, and activities for the whole crew! With several zones catered to families, kids, pets, and runners – there is something for everyone! Planning on just attending the festival? Festival passes will be available. There’s no shortage of creativity among the participants’ costumes! The CASA Superhero Run hosts a costume contest with a variety of categories for all attendees – even pets!

We recommend coming to early packet pick-up the day before the event to avoid long lines the morning of the Superhero Run! Early Packet Pick-Up will be at Hat Creek Burgers across Central Texas on September 21st. Stay tuned for specific times and locations.

CARY, the Council on At-Risk Youth, is hosting its Hats in For Cary fundraising event on Thursday, October 24, from 6-9 pm to celebrate its 25th anniversary and raise money to help fund ongoing services and mental health programs for their students. The event will feature six teams competing in different challenges, including darts, pool, and putt Vegas. Additionally, CARY will provide food and beverages and hold a silent auction where people can win fun prizes. 

All proceeds from the event will go toward funding ongoing services and mental health programming for the students. Since its founding in 1999, CARY has served over 27,000 students by empowering them to find their voice and become successful community members. CARY currently serves 1,900 students in 19 middle and high schools across three school districts in Central Texas.

The Very ‘Rary will transform the lawns, woods, and shoreline of Laguna Gloria with circus-themed fun for the whole family. Learn illusory magic with Mad Science, rock out with School of Rock, take flight with Sky Kings Falconry, and so much more. Plus, get hands-on and make your very own masterpieces and wearable artworks from circus crowns to merry marionettes.

Be immersed in a virtual realm of optical illusions with a Digital Funhouse installation by Austin-based artist Mavyn Vu.

And delight in deliciousness from some of Austin’s finest like Allday Pizza and P. Terry’s!

All proceeds support The Contemporary’s free year-round arts education and family programs servicing 2,600 K-12 students and more than 4,000 kids and their families annually.

Swan Songs, the Austin nonprofit focused on the power of music at the end of life, announces ticket and table options, sponsorship opportunities, and more for the 14th annual Swan Songs Serenade. The event will take place on Nov. 3 at Four Seasons Hotel Austin from 6 – 10 p.m., featuring a live performance by Madam Radar, a cocktail reception, auctions and a seated dinner. Individual tickets go on sale Sept. 1. The Serenade serves as Swan Songs’ key benefit and outreach event, celebrating music and remembrance in the Austin community.

The Andy Roddick Foundation will host its annual gala on Monday, November 18, 2024, at ACL Live, featuring a live performance by artist and hip-hop legend Big Boi. The event will bring together around 2,000 guests for a night of celebration, including a cocktail reception, an elegant dinner, a live auction, and a concert. Known for his role in the iconic duo OutKast, Big Boi’s performance will highlight the evening as attendees support the Foundation’s mission to enrich the lives of Central Texas children through afterschool and summer learning programs. Since 2012, the Gala has raised over $12.5 million to further these initiatives.

On December 5, the Moody Center will host a benefit concert supporting Austin-based nonprofit Mobile Loaves & Fishes, featuring multi-platinum country rock group ALABAMA with special guest The Bellamy Brothers, as part of the Roll On North American Tour. Co-produced by Stand Together, the Official Social Impact Partner of Oak View Group, and Red River Rising, this event marks the first benefit concert of its kind at the renowned venue. All net proceeds will go directly to Mobile Loaves & Fishes, which provides permanent, affordable housing and employment opportunities for the chronically homeless through its Community First! Village.
