Summer Royale: Austin Mother-Daughter Duo Shine in the Season’s Signature Styles

This summer celebrates vibrant hues, bold shades, patterned scarves, and chic yet playful shift dresses to take you from poolside to party in pristine style. To channel this season’s vintage high society allure, we invited the gorgeous mother-daughter duo, Melanie Packer and Jenna Jacobs, to dress up with us in dazzling pieces sourced from Saks Fifth Avenue at Commodore Perry Estate, Auberge Resorts Collection.

Saks Fifth Avenue at Commodore Perry Estate

Escape to Austin’s opulent Commodore Perry Estate for history, grandeur, romance, and sophistication. The space provides the ultimate atmosphere to wander the rose garden in a gorgeous gown, take a dip in the pool in a stunning suit, or sip ice-cold cocktails on the terrace in a captivating caftan. In addition to welcoming hotel guests, Commodore Perry Estate also serves as a private members club which draws from the diverse fabric of the local community offering vibrant social experiences while celebrating the individuality of Austin through an elevated lens. Guests at the luxury Estate are welcomed as temporary social club members during their stay to experience the hotel just as a member would.

Recently, Commodore Perry Estate welcomed The Fifth Avenue Club, personal shopping by Saks, to its selection of one-of-a-kind experiences. The Fifth Avenue Club expands Saks’ personal shopping and styling services into an intimate space at the Estate, by appointment only. Additionally, The Fifth Avenue Club hosts special events, trunk shows, and unique shoppable experiences, also by appointment only. 

Generations of Style 

Modeling these chic summer styles are Melanie Packer, owner of popular Austin salon Deep Roots ATX, and her daughter, Jenna Jacobs, an aspiring model.

“When asked if I would be interested in shooting for TRIBEZA’s summer Family Issue with my daughter Jenna, I was thrilled,” shared Melanie. “I knew it would be a great experience and memory to cherish for the both of us. Jenna graduated from high school this year, and anyone who has experienced this stage of motherhood knows how hard it is to see your child go off to college, so this shoot is really special for us.” 

For Jenna, the feeling of excitement about this fashion shoot was mutual. 

“I love modeling, so getting to do it with my mom was so much fun and so awesome,” said Jenna. “Spending any time with her before I leave for college is very important to me, but this was on another level. The experience was definitely something I’ll remember forever!”
