Korman Jewel House Brings Parisian Fine Jewelry Brand Viltier to Austin
Designers Iris de La Villardière and Thomas Montier Leboucher showcased Viltier’s newest creations during an exclusive experience at Korman Jewel House

For three days, Austin felt a little closer to Paris as Korman Jewel House welcomed Thomas Montier Leboucher and Iris de La Villardière, the design duo behind Viltier, for an intimate experience showcasing the brand’s newest creations.
As the only retailer in Texas carrying the collection, Korman offered guests a rare opportunity to view Viltier’s pieces up close — an experience typically reserved for the brand’s Paris boutique. More than a traditional showcase, the event brought guests beyond the jewelry itself and into the stories, inspirations and craftsmanship behind each design.
An exclusive Viltier experience
Longtime friends Iris and Thomas founded Viltier with a shared love for jewelry and the artistry behind it. As environmentally conscious designers, the pair creates responsible pieces with a low ecological footprint while emphasizing quality and traceability throughout the sourcing process. Designed in a Parisian workshop, Viltier’s jewelry balances graphic lines with softer, emotional elements, resulting in pieces intended to be worn across generations.
Guests had the opportunity to connect directly with the designers over a shared meal, where conversations extended beyond aesthetics and into the philosophy behind the collection. Rather than viewing jewelry from behind glass displays, attendees gained insight into the creative process and intention behind the work.
Connecting designers and clients
The setting itself reflected that sense of connection. A local name since 1973, Korman recently introduced a new identity with The Jewel House, reimagining what the jewelry shopping experience can be. Owners Kat and Larry Stokes envisioned a space that blends retail and hospitality, creating an environment where clients can feel less like shoppers and more like guests.
Designed by Michael Hsu Office of Architecture with interiors by Kelle Contine Interior Design, the 11,000-square-foot space at 29th Street and North Lamar was transformed into a warm, sculptural setting layered with walnut, marble, vintage lighting and custom furnishings. More than a showroom, The Jewel House was designed as a place for conversation and discovery — a fitting backdrop for an experience centered on bringing designers and clients together.
