While it may seem unconventional — given Mary’s Mediterranean background and life in London — it’s the natural next step for her. She has spent the last decade redefining resort wear and founded the highly recognized international brand Lavishly Appointed in 2016. Mary has won numerous awards, including an award in Cannes for fashion sustainability from Paris Le Mode Swimwear. She has dressed numerous global beauty icons, styled contestants in both Miss England and Miss USSR and even judged the Miss England competition herself. Beloved by celebrities, Mary’s designs have been sold in numerous five-star hotels throughout Europe.
As the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Pecan Moon, her creative direction shapes every piece of the brand’s collection, ensuring that each garment tells a story of artistry, craftsmanship and conscious design. While it’s rooted in Austin, it’s designed for the world, capitalizing on Mary’s global perspective.
“I have always been fascinated by fringe, cowboy style, unconventional and non-rigid dressing, nature and a softer way of living,” says Mary. “So, in many ways, it felt destined for me to move to Austin and start Pecan Moon.”
