Still Austin Whiskey Co. will open a 15,000-square-foot cocktail, dining and live music venue in South Austin this September, broadening the distillery’s hospitality offerings. The Still Austin Quarter, located at 4211 Willow Springs Road in the St. Elmo District, will accommodate about 500 guests across four indoor and outdoor spaces. The development will include a live music venue, cocktail lounge, private event space and 125 outdoor seats.

Still Austin plans to book local and national acts in the Music Room from Thursday through Saturday. DJs will perform nightly in the Vinyl Lounge, and the property will also include an atrium and private event space.

Their whiskey, gin and other spirits will anchor the cocktail program, led by company Vice President Ken Kodys. The menu will also feature house-made aperitifs, amaros and herbal liqueurs, along with beer, wine, limited releases and rotating pours from the distillery’s library.

The bar will serve an additive-free agave spirit that is imported and aged in Still Austin barrels. A food menu developed by the company’s in-house hospitality team will be announced later.

Still Austin’s expanded St. Elmo campus

The Music Room’s sound system was designed by acoustician Steven Durr, whose previous work includes recording and performance facilities for Willie Nelson, “Austin City Limits” and the Library of Congress.

The project was developed with OPA Design Studio overseeing the architecture and Weiss Architecture designing the interiors.

The Quarter is part of a broader expansion of Still Austin’s South Austin footprint, which includes its distillery, tasting room, whiskey garden and bottling line. It will also serve as an entrance to The Yard, Elmo Arts’ development in the St. Elmo District.

Founded in 2015, Still Austin produces bourbon, rye whiskey and gin using grains sourced from Texas farmers. The company also works with local artists to create the illustrations featured on its labels.

Once open, The Still Austin Quarter will operate from 4 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays.
