Sézane Pop-Up Shop Brings a Piece of Paris to Austin

Sézane's American pop-up tour debuts on South Congress

Walk in Texan, walk out Parisian.

The vintage-inspired, effortlessly chic French fashion brand Sézane is launching a series of pop-up events across the U.S., and its first stop is in Austin.

“Austin for us is a really unique city with a special vibe in the U.S.,” Sézane’s head of international content Lucy Alexander tells Tribeza. “That’s what drew us here because there’s no other city like it in America.”

With storefronts in Paris, London and New York City, the temporary retail experience on South Congress will feature Sézane’s latest seasonal collection from Paris, plus a limited-edition lifestyle range inspired by the city will be available exclusively at the pop-up.

From their best-selling pieces like the shoulder-skimming Gaspard cardigan called “French Heroes” to their iconic jean jacket named the “Will Jacket,” shoppers can browse a unique selection of pieces that are infused with classic Parisian style.

Customers can even personalize their new pieces with the help of embroidery ateliers who will be offering complimentary monogramming.

Founded in 2013 by Morgane Sézalory, the brand focuses on making timeless pieces that are elegant, simple and “je ne sais quoi for all.”

“Timeless is something people always say about French style,” says Alexander. “And I think it’s true that French women don’t necessarily follow season to season trends; it’s more about finding what makes you feel good and what you look good in.”

The Sézane pop-up will also host French bands who will be playing music, and customers can sip on coffee from Solidarity Café while they shop. Proceeds from the coffee sales will be given to the DEMAIN, Sézane’s philanthropic program.

The pop-up store is located at 2000 S. Congress Ave and is open until April 26.
