Tribeza Interiors Tour 2021: Amity Worrel & Co.

Amity Worrel & Andrée Chalaron

Interior photographs by Andrea Calo

ANDRÉE CHALARON AND AMITY WORREL come from the high-end world of New York design, working with A-list clientele and larger-than-life budgets, both with a distinctive eye and intuition that has made them highly sought-after in Austin. As other designers glean from minimalism, the pair at Amity Worrel & Co. are tried-and-true maximalists, seeking out a wide range of textures, colors and high- and low-end pieces to complete a home.

Alta Vista

Our client moved to Austin from Southern California and brought a laid-back Cali-cool aesthetic with them. They looked to us to make their new home express a more eclectic Austin vibe while incorporating newly inherited antiques and art. What began as a small decorating project evolved into an extensive remodel as we built trust.

The addition of a modern Malm fire drum was the most challenging and rewarding aspect of the project.
Loungey furniture in the dining room adds coziness to the area.
The master bathroom’s complete renovation included a free-standing tub on a custom teak platform.
Custom mirrors, antique runners and brass sconces reminiscent of flower buds completed the room.
Colorful art complements the client’s collected curios.
The neutral bedroom creates a calming effect while still incorporating a mix of textiles and shapes.
A white Eames chair pairs well with a neutral but dynamic wallpaper.
