We chatted with BelVer founder, Katya, about her luxurious studio where clients can feel beautiful and rejuvenated with non-invasive, yet highly effective treatments
As much as we try to hydrate, protect and take care of ourselves, let’s face it… these Texas summers are not gentle on skin. In need of a little extra pampering and delicate rejuvenation, we stepped into BelVer Studio on South Lamar at the recommendation of a friend (and TRIBEZA “Rising Star” Tierra Neubaum). Sometimes it’s those friendly referrals that lead us to the best results. In this case, we walked into BelVer welcomed by owner and esthetician, Katya, and immediately felt like we had found a new friend — and a most trustworthy skin savior. Katya’s European approach is one that resonated with us. Here you will forgo the idea of injections and invasive procedures and embrace her highly effective, gentle, yet state-of-the-art treatments.

We were delighted to chat with Katya about her personalized techniques and learn about her results-driven practices.
TRIBEZA: In what ways do you hope that BelVer Studio stands apart from other spas and esthetic studios in Austin?
Katya: At BelVer Studio, we embrace the traditional European approach to skincare and facials which is all about providing advanced and effective skin and body services. While many medical spas in Texas focus on invasive procedures, we specialize in non-invasive yet highly effective treatments like the Oxylight facial and buccal massage. We also believe that aggressive procedures, like high intensity resurfacing lasers or deep microneedling are not suitable for certain skin types and conditions, and could lead to premature aging and raise more skin concerns. Unlike smaller European estheticians who may lack access to advanced technology, or hotel spas that offer limited, standardized protocols, BelVer Studio combines the luxurious ambiance of high-end hotel spas with cutting-edge equipment and personalized expertise.
TRIBEZA: Can you share a little info about where you grew up and the European influences you are bringing to your services?
Katya: I was born in Czech Republic and grew up in the western part of Russia. My mother, also an esthetician, had a profound influence on me from a young age, and some of my fondest memories involve helping her in her studio. In that part of the world, people tend to embrace a slower pace of life, dedicating time to self-care. It allows them to visit estheticians at least once a month—a practice I highly recommend to my clients today.
TRIBEZA: What is the meaning behind the name BelVer?
Katya: BelVer Studio represents a lifelong dream realized—a space where clients can feel beautiful and rejuvenated. Naming a business is no small task; it needs to carry deep personal significance. For my husband and me BelVer honors our mothers, who are both remarkable women that have greatly influenced our lives. The name combines “Bella” and “Vera” and symbolizes their strength, beauty and determination.
TRIBEZA: What is your most unique service?
Katya: Our most unique services are the Buccal Facial and Mineral Mud Body Wrap. The Buccal Massage, a unique massage technique performed from inside the mouth, has gone viral on platforms like TikTok for its impressive lifting abilities. By accessing muscles that traditional facials can’t, it delivers remarkable outcome. It acts as manual facelift and TMJ therapy. Most clients schedule this treatment every 2-3 weeks to maintain optimal results.
Our Mineral Mud Body Wrap is a popular treatment in Europe that’s just now gaining traction in the U.S. It’s an incredibly detoxifying, nourishing, and relaxing experience. We start with a full-body exfoliation, followed by a 30-minute wrap in mineral-rich mud packed with calcium and magnesium carbonates. While you’re wrapped, we perform a head massage with a mud hair mask and a reflexology massage on your feet. It’s the most relaxing treatment we offer at BelVer Studio.
TRIBEZA: What is your most popular service?
Katya: Our most popular services are the OxyLight Facial and HydroDiamond Facial. The OxyLight Facial is a state-of-the-art treatment favored by celebrities before red carpet events like Oscars and Met Gala. It combines six different technologies in one 90-minute session, targeting deeper skin layers with immediate and long-lasting effects. The OxyLight Facial stimulates collagen production, enhances skin firmness while delivering essential nutrients and hydration to the skin. It helps to reduce the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and promotes youthful complexion. Some clients opt for monthly sessions, while others schedule it before major events.
HydroDiamond Facial is 60-minute skincare treatment that combines hydrodermabrasion and diamond microderm to exfoliate and renew the skin. Using gentle yet effective techniques, it unclogs pores, removes dead skin cells, and improves skin texture, leaving skin smoother and more radiant. The treatment is popular with our clients because of the Texas hot climate conditions.
TRIBEZA: If someone is unsure about which type of service would be most beneficial for their skin, what do you advise?
Katya: We always conduct a thorough consultation before starting any treatment. Once in the room, after makeup removal and double cleansing, we perform a detailed skin assessment to determine what your skin needs at that moment. Often, new clients may book one facial, but we’ll tailor the treatment once they’re here. Additionally, about 80% of healthy skin regimen comes from using the right products at home, so we offer product consultations.
TRIBEZA: Do you have favorite product lines that you use? Can you share just a little bit of info about these products and why you have chosen them for your studio?
Katya: Over the years, I’ve worked with many product lines, but I’ve chosen to bring only two to the Studio: Biologique Recherche and Omorovicza.
Biologique Recherche is a clinical French skincare line with 50-year history sold only through luxury spas around the world. It is renowned for its highly concentrated, active ingredients. What I love about Biologique Recherche is that they devised an exclusive, customized methodology of cosmetic treatments adapted to every skin type and condition. Their most popular product is Lotion P50, loved by many clients around the world. It is a multifunctional lotion that exfoliates, cleanses, and purifies the epidermis, helping it maintain its acid pH balance.
Omorovicza, known for its mineral-rich formulations derived from Hungarian thermal waters, aligns perfectly with our philosophy. These products offer a blend of luxury and efficacy, providing clients with both an indulgent experience and noticeable skin improvements. Omorovicza is known for Thermal Cleansing Balm, a unique oil based cleanser that can’t be replicated by anyone else. It is enriched with Hungarian Moor mud and removes impurities and waterproof makeup without disrupting skin’s balance.
