Fine Line celebrated the grand opening of its first-ever retail boutique in December 2021. Located in East Austin, the exterior is adorned with a nature-inspired pastel mural, custom-made by Austin-based artist Codie O’Connor.

The interior itself is clean and bright, colored by a collection of skincare, body care and cosmetics. The shop is a warm invitation to the wellness-obsessed and clean beauty lovers who are looking to experiment with a range of toxic-free products and construct their own beauty regimen for radiant skin.

Fine Line is dedicated to the quality and integrity of products. Co-Founders Ashley Young and Cissy DeLuca meticulously curated the store’s selection and personally tested each of the goods. They conducted thorough research to learn about industry standards and best practices in beauty. The goal was not only to make sure all of the products were clean, but also to support businesses they believe in.

The majority of the product lines available at Fine Line are founded by women, and a selection of Austin-based brands are also held to underscore the growing clean beauty industry here in our community.

When it comes to our definition of clean we keep it simple: every product we sell is 100% free of toxic ingredients,” says DeLuca. Some of our brands go above and beyond with sustainable practices and philanthropic efforts.”

The toxins that Fine Line is diligently guarding shoppers from include preservatives, such as parabens, and compounds, like cyclical silicones. There is also protection from harmful ingredients that are less obvious to spot because of deceptive labeling. These can include things like formaldehyde listed under a separate technical name or scented items that actually hold a slew of toxins.

Knowing that the products have been thoughtfully picked to prioritize their health and wellness, beauty fans can experiment with the Fine Line’s inventory stress-free. From a gua sha stone from Mount Lai or an exfoliating scrub from Fur, discover the preferred methods to attaining a natural glowy look.

Customers will also be encouraged to share feedback about their wants and needs. Early in 2022, Fine Line will offer online shopping with same-day delivery in Austin, as well as a special “text-to-deliver” service for skincare questions and emergencies. The boutique expects a future with more locations, pop-up experiences and additional product lines to follow.

“In addition to our retail offering, we are really focused on building community,” DeLuca shares. “We want Fine Line to be a place for people to discover the best in clean beauty but also a space to meet new people and try new things. Wellness can be intimidating! We want to make it fun and accessible for everyone.”
