Downtown Austin is set to welcome a new private event venue this October with the launch of Tiger Lilly, located at 400 Colorado Street. The multi-floor space will focus on hosting private events and celebrations, with public opening details to follow later this year.

Tiger Lilly will take over the former space of Estelle’s, a cocktail bar that closed its doors on Wednesday, September 4, nearly a year after opening. Estelle’s, known for its colorful bar, club, and restaurant, along with a floral selection from local business Native Bloom, announced its closure on Instagram and its website. According to the property owner, the closure was due to “operator’s failure to make rent payments.”

The new venue is a collaboration between Matt Wolski, of Pursuit Concepts, the Austin hospitality company behind popular spots like Other Racquet Social Club and Parlor & Yard, and LV Collective, an Austin-based real estate development firm that owns the building. This project also marks Wolski’s debut as Vice President of Hospitality Operations for LV Collective.

The venue will feature locally sourced vintage furniture, eclectic artwork, and curated décor. Wolski and his team are managing proposals for food and beverage operators interested in running the venue’s basement speakeasy and kitchen.

“We’re really excited about the energy Tiger Lilly will bring to downtown Austin. We want to make this space the go-to destination for private events – anything from smaller celebrations to corporate events or brand activations,” said Wolski. “We’re also looking forward to partnering with talented food and beverage operators to help bring the space to life, particularly in the basement level.”

While renovations are underway, Tiger Lilly will continue to host private events throughout the year. Event organizers can find more details or inquire about bookings at their website. Public bar-and-restaurant concepts for the space are also being considered soon.
