Dubbed “Bubbles, Brunch, & Belly Rubs,” the all-ages event will take place at 2400 South Congress Ave. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3. Shoppers can enjoy a selection of complimentary brunch bites and free massages set to relaxing harp music. The first 500 attendees will go home with their very own Texas Roots potted plant, and those who are 21+ can taste a variety of mimosas, micheladas, and palomas, all made with H-E-B’s fresh-squeezed juices. In anticipation of Cinco de Mayo, and in honor of its one-year anniversary, Arriba Abajo Rooftop Cantina will be hosting a special fiesta on Sunday, May 4. The Cinco de Mayo: A One Year Anniversary Fiesta will begin at noon with on-theme activities from sunrise until sunset, in the beloved rooftop’s stunning Oaxacan-inspired setting.
Sprawling across the fourth floor of Thompson Austin, the party will weave between Arriba Abajo, the private mezcaleria Tambien, the outdoor deck and lively pool. Experiences will interchange throughout the day with appearances by a live Mariachi band, DJ Prissy P, on-site tattoo artists and a variety of fiesta-themed games. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy a whole roasted pig, shrimp ceviche bowls, chips & guac, and plenty of vibrant bites to fuel the fiesta compliments of the restaurant. Specialty cocktails such as Mexican Candy Shots and an Abajo Blast with coconut tequila, blue curacao, lime, agave, pineapple and coconut will also be available in addition to margarita pitchers, zero-proof options, ice-cold beers, a Raspados Station serving shaved ice with optional tequila toppers, and more. Access is complimentary and open to the public, but RSVPs can be made in advance here. Dinner service will resume at 6 p.m.

Originally founded in Portland, Oregon, by University of Texas at Austin alumni Matt Potter and Caleb Schmidt, Zeds debuted its first Austin shop in East Austin in July 2021. Known for its made-to-order soft serve, the menu also includes coffee, beer, wine.

Foreign & Domestic is celebrating 15 years in Austin’s North Loop with a month-long series of events honoring the chefs and community that helped shape the pioneering farm-to-table restaurant.
The celebration kicks off with “The Chefs Who Shaped Us,” a three-part dinner series held at 6:30 p.m. on April 21, April 28 and May 12. Each evening will feature a three-course meal prepared by chef-owners Nathan Lemley and Sarah Heard alongside guest chefs who have been instrumental in the restaurant’s growth.
The festivities conclude with a free Parking Lot Pig Roast from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 18. Guests can enjoy a whole roasted pig in a nod to the restaurant’s nose-to-tail ethos, with beer and wine available for purchase.

Festivalgoers will receive a tasting passport upon entry, guiding them through a series of stops offering red, white and rosé wines from around the globe. Culinary experts and sommeliers will be on hand to share tasting notes and pairing tips, while participating restaurants, including The League, Buenos Aires Café, Burro Cheese Kitchen, and more.
