Austin Art Garage invites you to get to know the creative minds behind the work at their latest Meet the Artist happy hour art show. This round features Anna Ganina, a world traveler hailing from Ukraine who found her way to Austin. From her iconic color blocked portraits that capture the lens of memory to her nostalgic Americana scenes of diners and trailers set against a southwestern landscape, Anna reshapes the familiar through bold color and exaggerated light into a world entirely her own.

Austin-based artist Kaan Barin will present “Hear Me Roar,” a video art exhibition exploring identity, observation, human connection and the people around us, from 6 to 11 p.m. Sept. 26 at dadaLab. The exhibition will feature a collection of Barin’s video works and conclude with a short live music performance.

Art Spark Texas celebrates its 2026 Artists of the Year, honoring six Texas artists whose work reflects innovation, excellence and a commitment to reshaping perceptions of disability through the arts. The free celebration recognizes artists with disabilities, veterans and creative leaders across disciplines including theater, film, painting and visual art. Reservations are required.

The Contemporary Austin presents The Very ’Rary 2026, its annual all-ages afternoon of art and entertainment at Laguna Gloria. Celebrating its fifth year, the eco-futuristic event features hands-on artmaking, live performances and interactive discoveries throughout the museum’s 14-acre sculpture park. Proceeds support The Contemporary Austin’s K-12 arts education programs.
