Discover the vibrant art scene of Austin’s 78704 at the annual Art04 Studio Tour, an artist-run event! This studio tour is free to attend so start planning your adventure to different art studios to connect with artists, experience art, witness art processes, and collect art. The studios are located throughout the 78704 neighborhoods: Zilker, Bouldin Creek, South River City, Travis Heights, Barton Hills, South Lamar, Galindo, Dawson, and St. Edwards. On Saturday, May 3rd – Sunday, May 4th, from 11am – 5pm, the Art04 Studio Tour will consist of 69 Artists and 19 Tour Stops. Explore the website for the list of artists, tour map, and mediums. The Contemporary Austin is excited to host a Slow Fashion Maker Market from 12 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, on the Jones Center Roof Deck. Co-presented with Slow Fashion Festival alongside the HOST: Tenant of Culture exhibition, this event showcases Texas’s most innovative and mindful designers.
Visitors will enjoy complimentary drinks while browsing unique creations from local makers specializing in sustainable fashion. The market features over a dozen vendors, including Prior Waste, Soul Studio, Upcycle Denim Project, Luvintage, Cosmic Chaos, Bloodbath Studio and more, each bringing their unique aesthetic to environmentally conscious design. From handmade jewelry to upcycled purses and reused denim, attendees will discover one-of-a-kind pieces while connecting directly with the designers.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students, educators, and military personnel, and free for museum members and those under 18. All tickets include access to current museum exhibitions, making this a great opportunity to explore contemporary art while supporting the sustainable fashion community.

Back by popular demand following last year’s highly acclaimed showcase, this exhibition features over 100 new works across diverse media—including luminous neon pieces, enchanting glowboxes, expressive oil paintings, and exquisitely crafted blown glass—culminating in the most comprehensive display of the artist’s works in the United States. As Slonem’s signature motifs burst to life in a kaleidoscope of color and texture, visitors will find themselves fully enveloped in his whimsical, dreamlike vision.

Dimmitt Contemporary Art presents “REMEDIES,” a solo exhibition by Oakland-based artist Carmen McNall, on view at the gallery’s Austin location from May 3 through May 31. The exhibition opens with a public reception on Saturday, May 3 from 6–8 p.m.
Blending painting and wood-carving, McNall’s work explores the spiritual and restorative power of nature, expressed through faceless female figures that embody healers, caregivers, and vessels of generational wisdom. Through rooted stances and quilt-like patterns, her subjects become both part of the landscape and symbols of it—grounded, intuitive, and deeply connected to the earth.
