The Downtown Austin Alliance is debuting VIBE Weekend, a new downtown experience celebrating stories of Austin through music, art and culture on the historic 500 block of Old Sixth Street at Palm Door on Sixth and the parking lot at 522 E. Sixth St. Free and open to the public, this two-day event features live and musical performances, art installations and creative experiences for all ages. Featured artists and creators will be announced in July.

Central Machine Works in East Austin will debut The Next Stage, a free weekly concert series running Sept. 26–Dec. 5 on its newly renovated outdoor stage. The 12-show series will benefit eight local nonprofits, including the Central Texas Food Bank, Save Our Springs Alliance, and KUTX, through donations and specialty cocktail sales.

Austin Parks Foundation will host its annual Party for the Parks on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Zilker Park, taking over the Tito’s stage at Austin City Limits Music Festival for a night of live music, community, and fundraising between the festival’s two weekends.

The ticketed benefit, starting at $300 and on sale Aug. 20 at party.austinparks.org, offers a festival-style experience with catering by Tacodeli, drinks from local beverage brands, an open bar, shuttle service, and fundraising games and auctions. CBS Austin’s Trevor Scott and Good Party ATX’s Sarah Wolf will emcee the evening.

Headlining this year’s event is indie electro-pop act Passion Pit, whose frontman, Michael Angelakos, returns to his solo roots with a new album, “Nine Times Your Torch Song,” currently being released in phases.

Proceeds will support APF’s efforts to maintain and improve nearly 400 parks and trails across Austin. The event also highlights the foundation’s longstanding partnership with ACL Fest, which has funneled more than $71 million into Austin’s green spaces over the past two decades.

Acclaimed indie-folk band Lord Huron will perform at Austin’s Moody Center on Thursday, October 30, with special guest Feist. The tour follows the release of the band’s highly anticipated fifth album, “The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1,” out July 18.

The 2025 Andy Roddick Foundation Gala will take place on Monday, Nov. 10 at ACL Live, featuring a live performance by three-time Grammy Award winner Wyclef Jean. The touring band will comprise 13 musicians, singers and dancers, including members of the American Utopia band, all of whom will be mobile throughout the set.
